Global Road Deaths (Roadpeace)  Resource The Roadpeace global road death counter uses an annual estimate of 1.275 million, which is the latest estimate by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

PACTS Constituency Road Safety Dashboard

Database & Mapping A new report and ‘road safety dashboard’ published today by PACTS and Direct Line Car Insurance calculates the casualty rates for residents of each parliamentary constituency relative to the local population. Open the RSA dashboard (showing results for Arundel and Southdowns).

The Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS) Resource The Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS) is an All-Party Parliamentary Group and a registered charity. Its charitable objective is “To protect human life through the promotion of transport safety for the public benefit”. Its aim is to advise and inform members of the House of Commons and of the House of Lords on air, rail and road safety issues. It brings together safety professionals and legislators to identify research-based solutions to transport safety problems having regard to cost, effectiveness, achievability and acceptability. In recent years it has paid increasing attention to the links between transport safety, sustainability and public health.

The Sussex Safer Roads Partnership (SSRP) is continuing its work  to reduce road casualties across Sussex with the three “E”s – Education, Engineering and Enforcement. Educating road users starts in primary school with pedestrian and cycle training being offered by East Sussex and West Sussex County Councils, as well as Brighton and Hove City Council.

The European Road Safety Charter, led by the European Commission, is the largest civil society platform on road safety. Organisations & Companies


UK Road Safety Company UK Road Safety locate funding for, and showcase, important road safety campaigns for Police Forces; Local Authorities; and Fire Services, throughout the United Kingdom.
Road Safety GB Organisation Road Safety GB is a national road safety organisation that includes representatives from groups across the UK, such as local government road safety teams.
Sabre Resource SABRE is The Society for All British and Irish Road Enthusiasts. The Society exists for the discussion and education of roads in Britain and Ireland. Anyone with an interest in British or Irish roads is welcome to join and participate. The site is overseen by a management team which is elected every year.
RAC Foundation Organisation

The RAC Foundation is a transport policy and research organisation which explores the economic, mobility, safety and environmental issues relating to roads and their users. The Foundation publishes independent and authoritative research with which it promotes informed debate and advocates policy in the interest of the responsible motorist. Victim Support

Roadpeace Charity Roadpeace is the national charity for road crash victims and is a membership organisation.  Members include those who have been bereaved or injured in road crashes and also those who are concerned about road danger. EFEVR member.
European Federation of Road Traffic Victims Organisation FEVR’s main aims are to offer sup­port and help to road crash vic­tims by provid­ing free emo­tional, prac­tical and jur­idical assist­ance, through member associations and to con­trib­ute to road safety by high­light­ing road danger and the causes of crashes in order to influ­ence insti­tu­tions and author­it­ies towards imple­ment­ing and enfor­cing road safety meas­ures far more effectively.
World Day of Remembrance Campaign 16-11/2014. The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDR) is commemorated on the third Sunday of November each year – to remember the many millions killed and injured on the world’s roads, together with their families and many others also affected, as well as reflect on the tremendous burden and cost of this daily continuing disaster.
